today students that had properly completed their work from last week read aloud the radio play called the Hitchhiker. We will complete this tomorrow in class.
Today we started our lesson a little backwards to attempt a different study skill and investigated the Focus Questions first and then did our first read of Longfellow’s famous narrative about Paul Revere and his ride to warn of the approaching British. We will cover the reading and think Questions tomorrow. All Focus Questions are due Thursday.
Students today read the main blast material as well as additional research materials to better understand a current refugee situation in other places around the world. In addition to answering the prompt for the blast and reviewing five peers, students are to also answer and turn in a written response to the question that ties this blast to situations in the American Civil War. These questions are due no later than next Monday.
Today students worked in small groups to re-read The Life of Freddrick Douglas and review their Focus Questions answers. They were given areas of focus for large group discussion tomorrow.

Today students started their Blast #3 during Lit Club Monday. They have an additional written response that will need to be done and turned in by Friday.
